Farmingville

A quiet hamlet in central Suffolk County, Farmingville offers more space to spread out and more affordable prices than communities to the west. Many of the homes in the largely residential area are on a quarter- or half-acre or more. Farmingville Hills County Park, on 105 acres, adds to the feeling of spaciousness, with hiking trails, open areas and an historic one-room schoolhouse circa 1850. The hamlet is also home to the Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater at Bald Hill, an outdoor concert venue that attracts big-name performers. One of the highest elevations on Long Island, Bald Hill also features a soaring Vietnam memorial.
